Residents should beware of a potential scam circulating through Murfreesboro neighborhoods.

Water test kits are being left on doors by an independent sales company and are non-related to Consolidated Utility District.

These kits are not a reliable source for water testing.

If you have any questions regarding your water quality, please contact Consolidated Utility District’s Customer Service Department at 615-893-7225.

December 15, 2010:

Residents should beware of a potential scam circulating through Murfreesboro neighborhoods.

A company calling itself Environmental Water Systems is claiming a landslide at the landfill has polluted the Stones River and that it has been contracted by the “Water Department” to test the resident’s water for free.

This is false information!

Consolidated Utility District’s Project Coordinator Bryant Bradley spoke with Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department’s Assistant Director Darren Gore and Craig Armanza at the landfill and determined there has been no landslide and no one is contracted with Environmental Water Systems to do any residential water testing.

Residents should be cautious if approached by this company.
