To support our troops overseas, employees of Consolidated Utility District of RutherfordCounty (CUDRC) will wear special red shirts every Friday with the words “Consolidated Utility District Supports Our Troops” on the front and “We Support Our Troops” on the back.

This program was developed through an employee suggestion by Zack Todd to recognize our troops through a show of solidarity and support with dignity and respect. CUDRC is providing the red shirts to all employees. Several CUDRC employees have relatives who have served or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, including some who are and have been in Iraq. Previously, CUDRC employees participated in sending care packages to our troops, including 10 large boxes of toiletries, socks, knit caps, handheld games, snacks and more.

Our "Red Friday" campaign began on August 15, 2008.
