Maintenance

Consolidated Utility District’s Maintenance Department ensures the continuous operation of our water distribution and delivery system. CUD maintains a system of twelve hundred miles of water lines, fifteen pump stations and thirteen tanks with fourteen different pressure zones countywide. CUD's current number of customers served, makes us one of the largest utilities in Tennessee providing water and wastewater services.

Our Maintenance and Construction crews install new water lines and taps, repair water and sewer line leaks/breaks, repair or replace broken meters, boxes, lids, yokes and meter bottoms. They repair, replace, and install, flushing hydrants as well as both 2- and 3-way fire hydrants on our system and much more.

The State and EPA require us to test and report on our water on a regular basis to ensure its safety. CUD meets all of these requirements. We want you to know that we pay attention to all of the rules.

CUD provides potable water service throughout Rutherford County for the future of our community.
