Tap Fee
CUD performs all water taps on our water mains. No contractor is allowed to perform a tap on a main without consent from CUD. Depending on the size and material of the main being tapped and the size of the tap itself, the Contractor/Developer may be required to install the tapping sleeve/tee, tapping valve and perform a hydrostatic test per CUD’s specifications prior to CUD performing the tap. The rates are:

Meter Set Fee
Meter Set Fee (5/8” – 2” meters): In addition to the System Development Charge (SDC) and a tap fee, each customer is required to pay the cost for labor and material to establish service to the customer. CUD will provide all domestic and irrigation meters 2” and smaller included in the fees below:

Large Meter: 3” and Larger
All meters 3” and larger including combination meters, used for domestic, irrigation and/or fire protection will be the responsibility of the contractor/owner to purchase per an approved meter application. CUD will provide a list of approved meters for the specific application that meet our meter specifications. Meter size and type will be determined at CUD’s sole discretion.

NOTE: If a 1.5” – 2” fire meter is required, the contractor/developer will be responsible to purchase the meter per an approved meter application based on the list supplied by CUD.
