This role manages the Capital Improvement Program that includes potable water and/or sanitary sewer (decentralized type) infrastructure projects initiated by Consolidated Utility District (CUD) and those initiated by other government entities (state, county, and municipalities) or by developers.
This position provides direct supervision of a team consisting of various positions such as Engineering Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineer, Civil Designer, and/or Engineering Technician and indirectly an Easement Coordinator and/or related position(s).
This role is also accountable for the planning, design, permitting, easement/property acquisition, construction administration, and coordination with inspection of utility infrastructure to ensure projects meet the needs of CUD and adhere to design standards.
The Foreman ensures continuous operation of water distribution and delivery system by performing maintenance duties as required and implementing all policies outlined in employee handbook.
This role is responsible for duties as assigned by the Distribution Manager; directs work of crew members; manages input of monthly HR logs for crew members; supports and implements company safety policies and procedures; and ensures repair, replacement, and installation of water infrastructure equipment.
The Distribution Foreman must have at least three years of experience with CUD and must meet our residential policy requirement of a 45-minute response time to Consolidated Utility District’s main office and maintain that residency status as a condition of their employment.
This role assists in ensuring continuous operation of our water distribution and delivery system by performing maintenance duties as required. These include (but are not limited to): repair of water and sewer line leaks/breaks at the main and service line levels; prevention of water contamination during line breaks; repair of or replacement of broken water infrastructure; locating main lines, service lines, meters, and sewer lines; repairing yards when applicable due to water line installation or repair; and patching roads or driveways due to repairs and thawing frozen water lines.
This part-time, temporary role assists in ensuring CUD fire hydrants are painted/re-painted to color code specifications. This involves tasks as assigned by the Valve Operations Foreman and management.
