Understanding Our Total Compensation Package
Annual compensation includes base salary, earned vacation, sick leave, overtime wages, and any other compensation. Healthcare coverage includes medical, dental, and vision and reflects CUD’s contributions to employee coverage plans – plus the health reimbursement account, to help offset the employee’s deductible and out of pocket expenses.
CUD provides a defined benefit pension plan administered by the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System. Full-time employees are required to contribute five percent (5%) of their gross pay to this pension plan, and CUD contributes the balance necessary to fully fund the plan. Our members attain vesting rights with five years of service. If you elect to retire and meet the minimum retirement plan eligibility requirements, your pension will provide you with an income even after you retire!
